Local Plan Land Promotions

Land Promotion:
The site lies within the settlement of Shawbury, a thriving village with a range of services and facilities which lies 4 miles north east of Shrewsbury and measures approximately 2.80 hectares.

The scheme proposed the erection of 50 dwellings within the main body of the site, accessed via a newly constructed roundabout off the A53. The current access for the local Primary School causes congestion at the start and end of the school day so the new access off the A53 Shrewsbury Road includes a bus turning area along with a car park for a pupil drop off facility.

The scheme also includes 4.87 hectares of land for the provision of 5 football pitches along with ancillary works and parking as Shawbury United Football Club is based in Shawbury but do not have a ground of their own.

The  lengthy planning process required detailed negotiations resulting in a full planning approval
